Contains many versions of backgammon! Love it!
Nice way to pass the time
LOVE IT! Most realistic of any computerized Backgammon games.
Best of all the backgammon games! Why? Because it is!
You dont need to tell us that "no more moves are possible." We know, we understand the game, and its annoying to see it every time its applicable.
There are other backgammon games that are better, but this is the best for on-line players simply because of the volume and caliber of subscribers. There are some faults though: 1. Extraordinary frequency of double sixes with a checker on the bar. 2. Locking up. Happening more frequently now. Could be people not keeping up with updates. Ive been playing for years and the severity seems to ebb and flow. 3. Doubling cube means nothing! As prominent a component of the game, it should count point wise (Game Center, on-line tally). 4. Players being able to quit or forfeit a game with no penalty with opponents likely backgammon or gammon. Gammons and Backgammons are counted as extra wins on Game Center, doubling cube has no impact. 5. Text would be better than the talk feature. Voice can be awkward. My requests for talk are seldom answered. It would be great to post a message to those who you have played hours with.
This is the best backgammon game I have found yet. I would agree with other reviewers though that it can be an it easy and geared towards beginners.
No complaints. But given my addiction to the game, there should be a game limit so I can get back to work...
I have tried 6 or 7 backgammon apps and all but this one were just awful. Hard mode just meant the computer opponent rolled a lot more doubles than you. I guess it is hard to build a scalable AI, but this one gets closest. The exception is Acey Ducey mode where the computer just plays badly at any difficulty setting. Anyway, worth the price, enjoy
Love it
I enjoy the two extra versions of backgammon, plus acey ducey . The ai pretty good. Good game
Ive read the reports by the designer. I respectfully disagree with their comments. Ive been playing this game for a very long time. Though I have a problem with the game, it is far better than the others (several). The game has far too many doubles. It has a lot of double doubles and triple doubles. Ive kept track of the quantities. They are excessively more than the player will get. Ive even roles dice to see if there is any comparison. There isnt. However, that isnt the end. The game is uncanny at rolling the right number when needed. It seems to have cycles of no "cheering" and "cheering." I only play the advanced version. With all the "cheering" I still win most 2 to 1 in games and matches. I will still recommend the game.
In hard level it makes in certain situations stupid moves.
Aside from the fact the game seems programmed to slap you down whenever its losing (aggravatingly routine), I spend more time with this than any other game app. So well done.
This is a great game! I really enjoy unwinding from a hectic day with this surprise-ending game!!
On my iPhone this my favourite game. Newest version seems to speed up the moves. I would like to see the ability to pass on a move if no moves are possible. Overall a great app
Love the game!
The game has great graphics plays great EXCEPT, it is very difficult to play the turn based game and apparently no way to play a match. It seems like it should be easy to select" play another game "when a game is completed.
I have only used the single player. The game is programmed for the player to move the highest dice first regardless. The player should have the ability to move the lower dice first. This should be fixed. I wonder about many of the computer moves, often I can point to that questionable move as the turning point to the game. I have tried only one other backgammon app and this one is far superior. I win very often.
